It started with a single tree....

Renew42 are brothers in law Niall and Richard. When Richard salvaged a large 400 year old beech tree in 2014, little did Niall know that after storing it in his garage for 8 years it would lead to a business between the two.

This 8 years of drying meant that the beech spalted and created beautiful unique designs in its appearance. This is what makes spalted beech such a desirable material for all sorts of home wares. 

Richard has 20 years experience working with wood and has taught hundreds of students throughout the years how to work and appreciate it.
